We have been involved in live visual shows and music oriented visual narratives for almost 20 years, collaborating with musicians like OASIS, CRISTIAN VOGEL, DAVE CLARKE, DJ YODA, DAEDELUS, DJ KRUSH, JAMES MURPHY, FEMI KUTI, ARA MALIKIAN, JOHN TALABOT, SUNNY GRAVES, MAX TURNER, NIGHT OF THE BRAIN, JMII, RALP, RADA , PHRAN, AGOST and ROYAL DUST among others.
Our work has been showcased in festivals and cultural institutions such as SONAR (three consecutive years of residency), PRIMAVERA SOUND, UNSOUND, MAPPING, MIS Sao Paulo, FUNKHAUS Berlin, LEV, MIRA, DUBLAB, LA PEDRERA and CCCB.

MEMO LUMA, NO SLEEP SINCE 2008 - 10 YEARS OF HIVERN DISCS

"In this installation, DEDO CIEGO reconfigure footage recorded by members of the public at HIVERN DISCS parties in clubs and festivals over the years and combine them with their own visual material. The images are processed in an abstract manner, treating them as forms without content in order to distance them from any context and bring them closer to the sensory and primitive impulse that generated them: music.
Mixing recordings of a documentary nature with their own visual work, Dedo Ciego seek to provoke an aesthetic dialogue between the spectator and the piece, translated from a wave of hypnotic textures. Juxtaposed shapes and rhythms to generate a vibrant and intermittent memory, reminiscent of the sensations that can be experienced dancing in a club. This idea is reinforced by the sound present in the space: a selection of cuts from the Hivern Discs catalogue processed to sound like they would in a club."

SUNNY GRAVES' live set is constructed through the use of software, synthesizers, mixing board, effects pedals, sampler and voice, along with a unique analog instrument made up of four square wave oscillators which respond to light via photosensors. All this in unison with visuals created specifically for the performance by Joaquin, based on abstract compositions of video fragments in black and white which seek to further stress the importance of contrast in a project greatly inspired by the confrontation and eventual resolution between subtlety and abrasiveness, light and its absence.
